The Licensed Trade Charity was founded over 200 years ago. Whilst the Charity has widened its remit beyond the Pub industry, to assist those working in the whole of the licensed trade, we continue to support hundreds of individuals facing a crisis with emotional and financial support through our Support and Care provision.
Our entire organisation, from our Trustee Body to our employees and volunteers, consists of people who genuinly care about making a positive difference in others' lives. This passion for others is woven into the fabric of who we are and what we do.
The charity was established by people who wanted to provide support and a safety net for people in difficulty. Through this history, the charity has been both innovative and responsive to changing needs and in seeking opportunities to sustain its work. Our development of three successful schools not only provides extraordinary outcomes for the young people that benefit from our educational approach, but also provides an income to sustain our charitable support into the future.
We are honest with how we can help people, and we take pride in the progress we make both across our schools and in being at the heart of the pub community that is so valuable in today's society.
